The season is coming to an end and of course transfer speculations have started way before hand. The focus of it all for the 2nd year in a row is Man City as they look to revamp their squad (didn’t they just do that last season???) and push to challenge for honours in the premier league.
Ok I get you, just like Chelsea you wanna spend to bring in top talent……..hey mate it’s cool! I do the same thing when I play Football Manager.
But see here is where my problem with Man City is………let’s just look at the speculation, Angel Di Maria for what……40MILLION???? What the hell man……….last year, Nigel De Jung for 17mil when he would have cost 2mil in the summer as his contract was coming to an end.
You bought De Jung and what did he do to improve your season? Erm I know……..NOTHING! Now you wanna pay 40mil for a 20mil rated winger Angel Di Maria. Ok I ain’t from Wall Street but doesn’t this fuck the whole Transfer Market up? Just like those Idiots in Madrid……150mil for Wayne Rooney! Just what the hell are you doing?
I’m a Man Utd fan……..ok go on, talk about the waste of money signings Veron and Berbatov but remember, they failed cos they didn’t fit into our system and they had different styles. They are flops make no mistakes………..but not OVERPRICED flops!
My point here is paying too much for players, you raise expectations of every other club……..people will expect top dollar for some talented youngster cos they know you can afford it. You’re doing this to kill the competition so fine go get every talented youngster by throwing money away.
Money will buy you an instant talented squad but it ain’t gonna buy you instant points.
