The sequel to the smash hit from 2007, Transformers Revenge of the fallen is the most highly anticipated movie of 2009. The big question……….Did it live up to it’s hype? I’ll answer that later.
First things first, it’s a bigger cast of robots in this film as the story takes place 2 years after the events in the first movie. Sam has moved on with life and is preparing to go to collage. The Autobots under the leadership of Optimus Prime forms an alliance with the US military and a team called NEST which hunts down the surviving Decepticons.
However Sam accidentally absords knowledge of the Transformers from a remaining shard of the All-Spark. Megatron returns in full bad ass glory, an epic battle begins, The Fallen is out for revenge, Autobots die, Decepticons die and everything explodes…..Woooo! Michael Bay rocks with some good old fashion non-complicated story line with lots of action.
In times like these, this is just what we need! Does it live up to it’s hype?……….Hell it blows away the competition!
