It hurts, feeling down and dejected. Losing is one thing but losing under these circumstances. I was hoping for a brilliant final, a big show of the 2 top teams featuring the 2 top players in the world……….a true face off between champions. One from England and the other from Spain.
Well the English league representatives didn’t turn up, their manager got sentimental and now their fans face the brunt of fans of other English league representatives………..sucks doesn’t it.
Barcelone entertained with brilliant football, sportsmanship and passion on display that completely represents the beauty of this sport. United on the other hand didn’t turn up (I say again) Why? at such a big stage did their manager get sentimental and play his old warhorse instead of his young destroyers needed to put in that much needed grit into the game.
Against a team of so much pace, why were his passionate warriors played out of position……even passion can die off if you know your playing bad or worse, out of position.
Why did you do it Fergie? Why did you talk so much and so big before the match Patrice? And where were you Mr 42 goals Ronaldo? Real is quite a distance away from Rome you know.
None the less, thank you Fergie for accepting defeat on our behalf so graciously by saying “The better team won” Could you have perhaps prevented it…………..perhaps yes but it’s ok, heck you gave us so much celebrations in your 20 years in charge. Time to suck it in Utd fans and accept defeat graciously.
After all………The better team won.
