This is the first of a monthly post, just a little on fashion esp the weird one’s out there, haha!
This month we touch on the stand-in Captain of Man Utd, Rio Ferdinand.
He’s had his fair share of controversy and much like former England Captain David Beckham, Ferdinand has had many “funky” hairstyles over the years.
I’m not sure if you remember this one, he had it for a while…the afro. It was seen on Rio just a few years ago but he kept it only during pre-season, guess it didn’t do much to help his heading…hehe!
Next we look at one of the styles he had for the longest time, the dreadlocks. He must have particularly liked this one because he scored quite abit of goals while having this style……in fact it was just after he got rid of the afro.
However his form as a defender was questioned during that time, one of the reasons could be the long period he was laid off after he failed a drugs test.
So back to the tried and tested “Usher styled” look which is more familiar to him. Usher is one of his best friends, this picture was taken recently for a TV show which Ferdinand interviewed Usher on.
Soccer isn’t the only thing he is good at.
In 2005, Ferdinand, along with an old school friend, created record label White Chalk Music. To date, there are two artists signed to the label; Melody Johnston and Nia Jai, the latter being due to release an album on 6 October which features Ferdinand rapping.
And now, time to share with you some photos of my time at the Singapore GP grandstand Corporate box.
The area had many performances and other activities happening to keep the crowd entertained. It was mostly like a big carnival.
Live performances by bands as well as tents with merchandise for sale. Most of which you can’t buy in Singapore unless you get them online.
Back to the corporate box, the food was excellent. The girls who served us were ex-air stewardesses so you can tell the high standards which were expected.
Here’s the view from the box, magnificant setting!
Well that’s all from me, hope you enjoyed reading. Metro-Man signing out!
