This was one of the nicest surprises I had last week when Canon invited me to one of the fashion shows at Audi Fashion Festival 2012.
The show in question was Zac Posen Per-Fall and F/W 2012. He has designed for the likes of Naomi Campbell and is a favorite amongst Natalie Portman, Rihanna, Kate Winslet, Claire Danes, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Mischa Barton, Beyoncé Knowles, and many more. In fact at the 2012 Academy Awards, Glenn Close wore a Zac Posen gown on the red carpet.
Now last year I was at the festival but more as member of the press so I was more concerned about taking quick notes and making sure our magazine (POPCulture Online) had all the pics we needed.
This year however was different and I must say it was nice to be seated with the audience to enjoy the show as a guest.
I had pretty good seats too because I was just a few rows from the runway. His designs are an interesting cross between Oriental and European, I mean I thought it was just brilliant. Very classy and I think it will appeal to the women in this part of the world.
I must say though that it’s not easy taking photos of a fashion show because the models come out pretty quick, really those guys in the photo pit have got to do a brilliant job. I really take my hat of to them.
Anyway me and my IXUS had loads of fun especially because I could see the models standing by at the doorway before they came out. You could see from their facial expressions each time that they were psyching themselves up for their walk.
Just for fun I thought I’d take this in black and white since my dress sense was kinda inspired by violinist David Garrett that evening.
I just want to say a big thank you to Lilliane from CANON for inviting me to this event. I really enjoyed myself!
