Long distance relationships are hard, we all know that. Is it possible to rise above it and stay as a couple, I mean we’ve all heard so many stories of how long distance relationships never turn out good but there are those that go the distance.
Perhaps this new movie by real life couple Drew Barrymore and Justin Long might inspire.
Erin’s (Drew Barrymore) charms newly single Garrett (Justin Long) over beer, bar trivia and breakfast the next morning. Their chemistry sparks a full-fledged summer fling, but neither expects it to last once Erin heads home to San Francisco and Garrett stays behind for his job in New York City.
But when six weeks of fun suddenly becomes meaningful, neither is sure they want it to end. And while Garrett’s friends Box (Jason Sudeikis) and Dan (Charlie Day) joke about his ull-time relationship with his cell phone, they don’t like losing their best drinking buddy to yet another rocky romance.
At the same time, Erin’s overprotective married sister, Corinne (Christina Applegate), wants to keep Erin from heading down an all-too-familiar road. But despite the opposite coasts and a few unexpected temptations, the couple just might have found something like love, and with the help of a lot of texting, sexting and late-night phone calls.
I think this is a movie we all can relate too especially if you’ve been in a long distance relationship, in the end whether it lasts or not doesn’t matter but how far you’re willing to go. Sometimes it shows you what’s most important and what you truly seek in a relationship.
Danker out!
