A brand new week means brand new movies will be released! And this week, an action movie that wasn’t greatly hyped up or widely promoted but it turned out to be a pleasent ride! This movie is a remake of the 1975 film, Death Race 2000.
In the distant future, reality tv reins on the internet. Terminal Island, a prison facility showcases the best of reality TV called Death Race, where the worst of the worst are the drivers and the badest hottest female prisonors are the navigators!
Ex-con Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) is forced by the warden of a notorious prison (Joan Allen) to compete in Death Race: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.
It’s end to end action with light humour in all the right places. Although it’s supposed to be a remake, I kinda got the feeling that it was more like a reboot and like I said, this movie was a pleasent ride, enjoyable and good entertainment! Definately worth a watch!
