After three months of meetings and filming, we wrapped up the second season of “It’s a small world” in front of a live studio audience.

The cast had a few other segments to record in the earlier part of the day and since I forgot to bring my camera, I had to make due with my humble Iphone. Everyone was in a pretty relaxed mood, we were so used to the long hours of filming and we just wanted to have a good time on our last day.

The main goofer on the show, Ah Tuk was disturbing everybody that day. Pom Pom looked tired as usual and Xiao Ahn Ahn tried his best to hide his phone on set.

Xiao Bai Long and Han Yue had a pretty big day, without giving too much away before the finale is aired in April, lets just say they had a very interesting performance.

And so did Amit, it was mind blowing I tell you.

After we were done with the other segments, we had to take a quick dinner break and in stealth mode head to the green room. They house the celebs or guests there before they are brought out on set.

Do you know that Ah Tuk talks to me in Cantonese and I reply him in Hokkien and some how we understand each other?…..I tell you I love this show. Never before have I seen so many different races from so many different countries get together and understand each other even with our weak command of Mandarin. Really I have new found appreciation for the language and I’ve made some really good friends.

A couple more photos on my dodgy Iphone cam (Time to get Iphone 4) before we bid farewell to each other. This one is like my little gossip buddy on set, Siona.

Out we went on set introduced by host Mark Lee one at a time, the crowd was fantastic and the energy just rubbed on to everyone of us.

I think the finale was one of the best episodes with each cast member just using each others energy and Mark was brilliant as always in the way he managed the 11 of us and the audience as well.

It was a bitter sweet feeling at the end of the show with handshakes and hugs. For me it’s been a proud achievement, doing a whole season of a Mandarin Talkshow…..this ones for you Grandpa (Gong Gong).

And a big thank you to 2 very special people who came and supported me on the show, as well as to YOU……thanks for being a fan and for being a friend.

You can find out more about “It’s a small world 2” here. It airs Mondays 8pm on Mediacorp Channel 8.
