And so my long break begins……well not quite, I had to host the Punggol East International Friendship Day which was a whole lot of fun.
There was a big surprise awaiting the folks in the heartlands but first the Guest of honor Mr Michael Palmer arrives on a convoy of Harley Davidsons.
The party had your usual performances and in particular there was a percussion group which stood out with their ability to engage the crowd, they even had Mr Palmer perform a song with them.
A lucky draw which saw someone win a netbook as well as a mini Birthday celebration for Mr Palmer were among the highlights but the real surprise was the fireworks which took place right in the heartlands.
How cool is that? Fireworks in your own backyard.
Standing with me below of course is Samuel from the Youth Executive Committee who helped organize this fantastic event which saw so many kids come together and just enjoy the spirit of International Friendship day.
And I have the coolest personal assistant in the world…….Miss Earth Singapore 2008…..hehehe! Ah yes…..I guess I’m still a minor celebrity in some way. Haha!
