Greys Anatomy fans would probably be familiar with them. For the rest of us who just love the way they make music, well I got the chance to interview Ben and Issak from The Fray when they were in town for the Timbre Rock n’ Roots festival.

You can check out the interview this week on Red Hot Spotlight on Power98 as they tell me about how only after 8 years have they found their feet as a band, the challenges they face and some details on their 3rd album.
It was a nice experience yet again meeting and having the chance to talk to a band whose music is constantly on my Ipod. Even with the amount of success they have, they are still firmly rooted on evolving further as a band and creating good songs.

More from the Cleo 50 Most Eligible Bachelors finals night at Zirca on 19 Mar. Before the actual show, the Bachelors were invited up to the VIP area to mingle with them and erm………get a drink. Hahahaha!
I walk in and to my left is the entire Safra Radio, with this load roar to mark their presence. Hahaha so yeah since they were VIPs themselves, naturally I hung out there.

Picture time! Cos that’s the only time you will see me in a suit.

So many ladies but all not mine………as Jennifer (my right) so nicely put it…..Hahahaha!

I had to go back up there after the show just to say hi to some of the guys who weren’t there at the start. It seemed that they were…..well…..mostly abit high on alcohol.

And as always count on Alvin to get fascinated over my new toys. In this case it was the Armani Exchange watch that each Bachelor got.
Danker out!
Now this is some funny shit! I knew it was a dark comedy but I really didn’t expect to laugh so loudly. It’s kinda like “Burn After Reading” where the actors are all bullshitting throughout the film but they keep this straight face.

Honestly the content was nonsense but that was the whole art of it. Total nonsense made serious and you might get convinced. I loved it, every bit of it!
George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey are all in this. It’s kinda hard to tell you the plot of the film except that a reporter whos looking for excitment in life thinks he has found the story of his career when he stumbles upon the most talented member of The New Earth Army (A unit of the US Army that employs special powers during their missions)
See why I said the plot is nonsense………but this film is art man, you gotta go catch it!

Last week, The Sandwich Boutique threw an exclusive party for its fans & friends, after beating 9 other finalists in a social media challenge as part of The Martell VSOP Ultimate Start-Up Space Competition!

Among the things it had to do to win, they had to get the most amounts of re-tweets as well as to set up a fan page which was done via Facebook.

Chef Tim Ross-Watson (extreme left) created three open sandwich canapes to give guests the first taste of things to come at The Sandwich Boutique.
Braised Beef Cheek with Caramelized Onion on Focaccia, Egg with Homemade Truffled Mayo On Croute & Roast Chicken with Smoked Roasted Pepper Mayo & Pickled Cucumber!

I stuffed myself with the Egg Mayo…….my fave btw and it was good! There is still quite abit of judging to continue for Chef Tim has he hopes to beat out the other 9 finalists for The Ultimate Start-up Space.
Business proposals will be looked at, Ideas judged and the best one will have that space in the heart of Clark Quay. Tim is a good friend of mine from the Cleo 50 most eligible bachelors ccompetition so my bet is on him to WIN!

Action action action, thats all thats needed to sum up this film because the fighting is really non stop. I gotta say I expected a bit more, there were times where the graphics were not so good and other times Percus played by Sam Worthington won fights just too easily

Would have been nice if he struggled abit. On the other Hand Liem Nelson as Zeus is a hands down success. I mean he is such a commanding actor and he fits the part nicely.
Would I recommend you to catch this film?…….Well Yes. Hahaha surprised? It’s worth a watch, just to unwind abit but please leave your brains at the door. Oh and I think the 2D version is better.
Danker out!
Now I gotta say that this was a new experience for me. For the longest time I’ve so used to hosting talent searches and even peagents but to take part in one, HAHA when have I ever done that.
Well there you go, I’ve got my fair share now and I must say I’m honoured to be selected as one of this years 50 Most Eligible Bachelors by Cleo Magazine. The finals was held on Friday 19 Mar at Zirca.

The opening walk was a fun one. We got all dressed up in suits and went out into the spotlight to a pack Zirca club full of screaming girls, took to the mic and gave a self introduction…….ah yes, starting the show in my element, I loved it! Hahaha!

Then there were the various segments like games and performances and my part was the fashion show featuring Dusty clothes……..this was a fun one.

I mean going out onto the runway, pretending to be this cool model. Hahaha taking pictures with the hot women screaming at you……..YEAH!

In the end it was Parker Lam won the lot as this years Cleo’s Most Eligible Bachelor, taking over from last years winner Vivian Dawson.
Well done and thank you to everyone at Cleo, Deborah, Denise, Serene, Cheryl, Kamei and everyone else.

And also to the new friends I made, it was an awesome night. Thanks also to Nick Tan for the photos man! Oh btw, thats me getting my dose of liquid courage before the show……hahaha!
More pics to come.

The ultimate start up space is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs as they aim to win the competition to start their own businesses in an ideal location right in the heart of Clark Quay.
They will also receive professional advice and skills development from their ulitimate start-up partners
The winner also receives an executive education program from INSEAD of which will be decided on March 25 and the ultimate start up space will be built for that idea.

Formerly it was The Fashion Bar and then it was a restaurant called Bice & coming soon it could be The Sandwich Boutique!

Support The Sandwich Boutique by Tim Ross-Watson, a chef from London, my good friend from the CLEO 50 most eligible bachelors and one of the top 10 finalists for the Ultimate Start-Up competition.
Check out the Facebook fanpage.
You can also check out some of his cooking videos here

John Mayer returns with what he calls “not his best work”…….hahaha, quite true actually. I mean it’s not Continuum really, that one was by far a classic but Battle Studies on the other hand is a little more emo.
Serious! It’s like John Mayer got older and more emo, singing about love and being perfectly lonely. It’s just a phase I’m sure but it’s good to see that side in this album, it’s a good change I would say.

Now what we need really is another John Mayer ‘live’ in concert DVD! yeah!

This film was a surprise for me because I’m not that big a fan of cartoons but it was in 3D and theres Gerard Butler as one of the voices in this film. So I thought hey what the heck!

And I’m glad I went all what the heck about it because it was a pretty entertaining film. Lots of laughs along the way and the 3D effects were managable……..cos usually my eyes hurt after.
So props for this one man, it’s refreshing from your regular mind boogling films.
