The new Home Kit for Manchester United has been unveiled for the 2009/2010 season. The design is abit retro and it’s meant to commemorate 100 years at Old Trafford.

These are some pictures of the new kit featuring Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney and Park Ji Sung taken off the official www.manutd.com website. Pretty decent if you ask me so I’ll be planning to get one for myself!

I actually kinda like the goalkeepers kit cos it’s been a while since I’ve seen a Man Utd keeper play in white so this should look good on the field, especially since the design is similar to the on-field players.  

So there you have it, the new kit for the up coming season. Do you like it? Would you be getting it? Or would you rather be talking about CR7?………good ridence to him if you ask me.

The first of 3 Access98 parties went underway on Friday 26 Jun 09 and what a blast it was. Free flow of absolut Vodka was always gonna make things more fun when all the Power 98 jocks gathered to hang out with our listeners at Power House @ St James Powerstation.

Teo Ying from 88.3 came by to lend some support but unfortunately for her she had to face me making fun of her the whole night….opps! Well anyway Harry and I started of the show with some fun and games.

Now heres how CK comes into the picture. We were looking for a CK summer ambassador. See that float I’m holding………..yeah I managed to get it…….Wooo! It’s going into Ma Pool with me and some ICE cool Orange juice or maybe a beer, sunglasses…………..ahhh this is the life! I can be like Will Smith from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air!

Season break in the Barclays Premier League is boring especially when we have to wait for Jul 1st for the transfer window to open. So what’s there to anticipate during this time?………..well more fashion actually.

Season 2009/2010 marks a change of home and away kit for Man Utd. Will we look stylish when we defend our title next season or will the team be trying to hide their faces during pre-season tour.

Seems that manutd.com has started to post teasers of the new kit which will go on sale 16 Jul 09.

My hommie Rio seen here with a teaser of the new kit said to depict 100 years of Old Trafford. Interesting tie to tradition, let’s see how it turns out.

There are some rumours on the internet that this is how the new home stripe may look like………not too bad, kinda retro but if they get the blood red right, it might fly well with the fans.

Just on a side note……..this pic is for Kenneth. I thought relegation was bad but dude, poor thing…………now your teams away kit look like bright yellow birdies……perhaps to blind the opposition keeper? Hahahaha……honestly the prem won’t be the same without Newcastle but the Championship would certainly be erm……colourful.

Former Wimbledon champions Maria Sharapova and Roger Federer were in action recently unveilling their outfits for the tournement.

Well it seems that fashion will be taking centre stage and the outfits become part of the centre of attraction.

Maria Sharapova back from a shoulder injury seems to be going for the classic English lady look. Appropriate seeing as it’s Wimbledon after all.

Federer on the other hand has got abit of a tuxedo thing going on here with a vest and all…………lucky this is just the pre match outfit, else that vest would make it really hot.

The sequel to the smash hit from 2007, Transformers Revenge of the fallen is the most highly anticipated movie of 2009. The big question……….Did it live up to it’s hype? I’ll answer that later.

First things first, it’s a bigger cast of robots in this film as the story takes place 2 years after the events in the first movie. Sam has moved on with life and is preparing to go to collage. The Autobots under the leadership of Optimus Prime forms an alliance with the US military and a team called NEST which hunts down the surviving Decepticons.

However Sam accidentally absords knowledge of the Transformers from a remaining shard of the All-Spark. Megatron returns in full bad ass glory, an epic battle begins, The Fallen is out for revenge, Autobots die, Decepticons die and everything explodes…..Woooo! Michael Bay rocks with some good old fashion non-complicated story line with lots of action.

In times like these, this is just what we need! Does it live up to it’s hype?……….Hell it blows away the competition!

The much anticipated Video Games Live finally made it’s way to the Singapore Indoor stadium on 19 Jul 09. I got the chance to host the pre-show festival which featured the Guitar Hero competition and a Cosplay showcase.

What a great crowd at the south foyer area which was transformed into a semi-arcade. Old school and new school games were on display and of course the main highlight was the guitar hero competition.

These guys were going head to head on Guitar hero Aerosmith in expert mode. The top 2 later had a chance to face off for the ultimate title of Guitar hero champion on stage inside the Singapore indoor stadium during the Video Games Live performance.

Thw show itself brought a feeling of nostalgia with the songs from the likes of Sonic, Metal gear solid, Supermario and many more.

The show ended off with the popular Castlevania……..it doesn’t get anymore old school than this man!

Once done you can use your new pic as a wallpaper or even facebook profile pic. You can even choose the type of backdrop you want, how you want to crop your photo and even the angle.

I realised that it’s coming close to a year since this website was started…….close to year since alot of the landmarks of last year. One of them for a geek like me was AFA08.

Watching May’n perform live was definately one of the highlights of the event but who will be the special guest at this year’s AFA. Your guess is as good as mine……….I’m really anticipating who it could be. Got a speculation? Well don’t hesitate to leave a comment.

Cosplay competitions stole the show with all the time a effort put it…….who could forget Exia! Imagine if someone had cosplayed as a Valkarie…..wah can face off with Exia man. Idea for this year!

Toys Toys and more toys….every geek’s joy! My only regret from last year was being too late, couldn’t quite get my hands on a Haro or perhaps it was just plain no stock.

Last year’s event had it’s ups and downs, high points as well as disappointments. Few can deny it was an outstanding success. Could have it been done better? Well the debates were much forgotten but are surely to surface in the coming months as we draw closer to AFA09.

As we approach that landmark, it is without a doubt that I’ll be there! Yes despite some low points last year I will be going. I mean come on…..it’s AFA man, I’m not gonna miss out! In fact I’m already preparing my shopping list…..I do hope there will be more toys to choose from this year, perhaps apparel too.

So yes AFA09 happening 21 and 22 Nov at Suntec City, the anticipation begins.

Lady Gaga in Singapore for the first time was a fantastic experience that happened at the Dome over at Clark Quay last night.  A huge showcase in conjuction with the launch of Singtel’s Amped application was the reason for the massive event which took months to prepare for.

Gaga didn’t disappoint with her opening number in familiar Gaga style outfits. She wore this for her first song but this picture was taken at another concert in the US.  

The view I got was the best. Hanging out at the VIP area thanks to Jay from Universal. Thanks again for the awesome tix mate. The sound and show production was joy to behold……..loud yes but worth every moment.

Lady Gaga returns to Singapore sometime in August for a full scale concert. If you were at the showcase and thought that was good well the the concert should blow your mind.
