The 12th Installment of the Need for Speed series is coming in about a month’s time and I’m all excited about it.

The story mode sees you going undercover taking part in races and all sorts of stunts to try and earn a reputation and infiltrate an underground gang in order to take a crime lord down. Your only contact is a federal handler from the police, played by……….you guessed it…..MAGGIE Q!

The traditional live action scenes will definately be in this game, adding to the story mode. Also featuring in this game is Christina Milian who plays one of the lead characters. You may remember her from the movie “Be Cool”.

Watch out for cool chases sequences involving your car, the police and the massive traffic. Theres also a new game play called “The Heist”.

The cars of course are all updated, you will have your Evo as well as the R8 which was featured in the movie, Iron Man.

I don’t know about you but I’m excited cos I’ve been a fan of the Need for Speed series for a while. Esp when they revamped their style and started the whole underground series. Now the thing is you need to wait till the 18th of Nov 08 till it’s released

Now this is the after effects of starting a hobby. As you have probably seen on my previous blog posts, I collect Gundams…..this is purely for fun and only certain models that I like. In fact, I don’t even take the trouble to paint the Gundams like other hardcore fans. I’m lazy lah! haha!

On my birthday one of the gifts was GN-002 Dynames from the Gundam 00 season 1. I’ve already got 2 out of the 4 Gundams from that series and now this makes 3.

Had some free time over the Deepavali holiday to work on it and I managed to finish it before dinner……not bad eh!

With this I will next need to get 4 stands for the Gundams, I think one of those that I can join all 4 together then display the 3 Gundams on the stands. The missing Gundam on the 4th stand will motivate me to get it before Xmas….hehe!

After months of saving and a few more months of waiting, I’ve finally got my MacBook and converted to the dark side!

This latest version of the MacBook has been a long time coming, a facelift, an update of processor, you name it…..this baby is ready to redefine beauty and Ishop is one of the first in Singapore to bring it in.

Believe me it was fully worth the wait, I could barely contain my excitment just holding the brand new MacBook in my hands.

Now the set up on my desk was fun to do, I guess also because my desk is also my “heroes corner” so just seeing the Mac there kind of made the area like “The cool zone” of my room! I know…….you think I’m nuts!

As you can see, this is how I’ve set it up at home. I esp like the casing, which is now one solid piece of aluminum making the MacBook thin and light.

The display screen isn’t plastic, instead its glass and the screen looks alot brighter too compared to my old laptop. 

Apparently as per Apple’s website, theres an advanced NVIDIA integrated graphics which gives more realistic 3D environments. It’s basically an integrated graphics processor that delivers up to five times the performance in half the size. Now I ain’t no tech expert but hey, it’s definately better that what I previously used.

And lastly the entire trackpad is now also the button, so it’s clickable everywhere.

I must say that as a new Mac convert, so far it hasn’t been that difficult to adapt to the new OS. Although it felt a little weird for the first 10 to 15mins, I soon got the hang of it and I’ve already started blogging using it.

It’s now fully operational and I really have to thank my friend DJAN of www.djsunity.com and Ishop for helping me out with this.

This dudes been giving me lots of advice on getting a Mac and even helped me in the selection process. He’s also a master mixer of Mash ups. Go to his website and check out his works!

You know how it is with buying a new computer or tv or some appliance. What do you do with the box? Use it to store old clothes or just throw it away. I don’t know about you man but I’m definately keeping this box. It’s too nice to throw away….hahaha!

You know i joined Power 98 just before the start of the current Premier league season and was roped in by DJ Sebastian to co-host “On the ball” which has been tremendous fun!

And for the past few weeks I’ve been wanting to follow in the footsteps of Sebastian and Jensen. You see, they are Liverpool supporters and they printed their respective names and the No. 98 on their Liverpool home jerseys.

Pretty cool huh, totally identifying with the station. I had a word with Seb and he said “it gives us an excuse to wear our jerseys plus we should our station loud and proud”

So I though, hell let’s do it and here it is!

I guess this makes me Power 98’s new signing this season, also helps to even up the Liverpool / Man Utd camps at the station!

My friend Kenneth has always said that I had an unofficial entourage. So we sat down one day and came up with this post together and also to piece who was doing what in this ‘entourage’.

So let’s begin the run down. We start of with Jun Yuan aka Metro-Man / Fashion Consultant and here he is with Kathleen the PR consultant and Writer.

And then we move on to the next pair of Tissa who is a Beer Consultant, cos he drinks beer the fastest among all of us and the lovely Jacelyn who is the Lucky Charm. That’s because Man Utd always wins when she watches the match with us.

Up next, the IT consultant and Content Manager (due to the many pictures in this webby from his dslr), Mr Kenneth Wong.

It was a joint birthday celebration for Leanna and me, her birthday was on 16th Oct and mine on 18th Oct, The location was Billy Bombers at The Cathay with a total of 11 of us.

I’d also like to say that all pictures in this post are from my spanking new Panasonic 8.1 megapixel camera…..woo!

Time to eat said the signboard and even during the ordering process, we were already doing stupid things……as you can see from the pic below, Jun Yuan must have come up with some stupid idea that Kenneth didn’t quite agree with.

Cake cutting was quite the surprise, I really didn’t want any but Janet came down the stairs with a nice Chocolate Banana cake after I stuffed myself with an Obama burger…..hahaha!

I actually wanted to wear the Adidas tee that Seb from Power 98 got for me but Hamilton won so must celebrate abit with the victory tee, somemore Jun Yuan was there in his BMW (Petronas) top.

Now here was the funky part about celebrating your birthday at Billy Bombers, they played a “Boney M” styled birthday song for us then came down with 6 shot glasses of……..different chocolate syrups.

And to think that Eugene wanted to add Vodka to the mix…..just look at the remains of all the syrups.

Not so pleasant taste cos it was damn sweet……they gave a shaker for me to mix all the syrups together. No alcohol but can still make you high.

See the bottle of vodka on the table? Ah well, our dear Eugene had to go to 7-11 next door to buy it……..want me to die ah! Even Tissa oso trying to make me drink.

After dinner, we headed over to Starbucks next door to have coffee (as if I was not full enough like that) and to open presents.

Yup, as usual every year Kenneth has the bright idea of giving me many wrapping papers for his present to me……..and this year he got his sister Kathleen to wrap it somemore.

Well tks everyone for all the gifts, just being there to have dinner with me was more than enough but I’m gratefull for the thoughts you guys put in.

Not that this is favoritism, but I just wanted to mention these 2 gifts. First one, the May’n single from Janet has found a place on my cd shelf and I’ve decided to display the front cover so I can see it at anytime.

I’ve got to display this because I’m a big Macross fan and you can’t get this single in Singapore. It’s imported from Japan!

And next is the Dynames Gundam from Kenneth, Jun Yuan and Kathleen……thanks for helping me get one step closer to completing my Gundam 00 collection.

Thanks again to everyone who came down, Tissa and Jacelyn for coming down despite being slightly under the weather. Eugene for not mixing the chocolate syrup with vodka. I turn a year older today and I have alot to be thankfull for and alot of people to be gratefull to. I’m keeping things simple this year, no huge drunkard party like last year…….it’s gonna be simple and I’ll let you in on how it goes by Monday.

I got myself a birthday present today, a nice new silver Panasonic FS3 8.1 megapixel digicam. Figured it was high time I got myself a proper camera since I take pictures so often these days.

I’m pretty pleased as you can see and I hope to be able to snap some memories of my birthday with this new baby.

Just to share…..I never liked taking pictures when I was younger. Then one day I regreted not having much memories of my past in pictures…….these days I try to cherish as much as I can in photos.

Call me silly but I guess that’s abit of a soft spot in me.

Now I’m writing this post because I think Britney Spears deserves some credit for making a proper come back at last!

After all her boo boos last year with her initial attempt at a comeback, she finally makes good with her new single “Womanizer”

The photos stills of her new music video, which were released earlier last week had already suggested that the former teen pop sensation was indeed back. Officials stated that it was Britney’s love for dancing that helped her work her way back in shape.

Interesting wigs make for a very colourful video, good on you Brit for making your comeback……you deserve it.

I admit I was one of those who made fun of her last year and I’m glad she proved alot of us critics wrong by showing that she hasn’t lost it.

The Wildcats are back and this time they’re high school seniors.

In this third installment of High School Musical, Troy and Gabriella are facing the prospect of being seperated from each other after graduation.

Along with the rest of the Wildcats, they stage a spring musical to address their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.

It’s great song and dance and the feeling of being 17 again!

Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. star as group of prima donna actors making a Vietnam War film. But when their fed-up director decides to abandon them in the middle of the jungle, they are forced to find their way out on their own.

One of the most notable characters in the show is Robert Downey Jr who stars as Kirk Lazarus, an award winning actor who goes through a controversial procedure to play an African American Sargent in the movie.

Expect lots of laughs and some interesting cameo appearances from some famous Hollywood actors.

This movie hits cinemas 23 Oct.
