The ultimate band competition as well as the SIngapore Music Awards all in one night at zouk! Now I’ve been to Powerjam before but only as a guest.

This one is my first one as a Power 98 DJ and it was a massive experience! I was in charge of goodie bags and banners so you could call me logistic man….haha!

Apart from that, me and Jensen had to present the award for “Best breakout band” which West Grand Boulevard won. The winner of Powerjam 08 went to King Kong Jane!

That’s it……on the big screen at Zouk, it’s the biggest band competition in Singapore! And my crew pass…….gotta keep this one cos it’s my first one!

Glam rock was the theme of the night, many thanks to Janet for all the silver chains to help complete the look, although I am sorry I kinda scared you with the make up.

That’s the thing, I actually didn’t like it but bo pian leh…….supposed to go with the look!

Managed to drag the guys down too!

Met a familiar face…….well actually many familiar faces……but here’s one whom I also managed to scare with my make up.

Haha, I sorry Jonathan, the next time we meet up for beer I promise…..no make up!

Anyway welcome home and as promised we saw ‘The Dark Knight” on Monday, chilled out on Tuesday and on Saturday it was off to St James Power station, powerhouse. Nothing special happened really but with Kenneth forgetting his camera and Sebastian bringing a rather unique one……with a touch screen and all, we figured it would be photowhore night!

The first act would be to reserve a table by buying drinks and so dear Kenneth got a fruit punch to assert his right to sit at the table. Hahaha!

Then things got weird after awhile as the guys started to “act cute”

And just like a disease, I got infected too!

Leanna came over to bring back some sanity to the group. She was working as the “door bitch” that night but I can’t call her that….shes so nice!

Oh yes and Janet was mostly playing with camera all night. She’s responsible for capturing these ridiculas moments….haha!

Of course the sanity didn’t last long because I got caught playing a fool!

Seriously, I gotta stop getting caught on camera.

Now everyone should have a mini-fridge in their own room. And so my quest for one has finally come to an end. Yes I’m not kidding……I bought a fridge for my room.

Hahaha, it’s brilliant! I got it the day before I started my new job at Power. It’s an Akira mini-fridge from carrefour. I paid $49.90 for it…….damn shiok man!

Here’s what it looks like on the outside. Nice dark blue mini-fridge that sits on my book shelf!

And of course the inside. Contents can store up to 8 cans of beer, which is fantastic for me. For now I’ll store 2 cans, a bottle of water and chocolates! haha!

That’s not all I did, I increased my dvd collection and one in particular that I got was the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica.

I’m really enjoying this, just started on the 2nd disc cos the weekend is the only period I have time to watch it these days. None the less, it’s been great!

Virual campains, various youtube videos of the “Gotham Tonight” program and finally the movie is released. So much work behind every detail of character development and the plot. Even the untimely death of Heath Ledger who stole the show completely.

Batman and James Gordon join forces with Gotham’s new District Attorney, Harvey Dent, to take on The Joker, whilst other forces plot against them, and Joker’s crimes grow more and more deadly.

You know, Heaths performance as The Joker actually scared me quite abit. You can tell he was a totally different man with this performance. He actually spent a month in a hotel room preparing for the role by perfecting “The Joker voice” and he even wrote a dairy as The Joker.

This must be the darkest Batman movie yet with alot of moral behind it. You see, The Joker has no plan, no morals, he is an agent of chaos.

As for Batman, he has one rule and The Joker constantly tempts him to break that one rule.

So this is my new site, a full on website managed by bazcreate studios that I’m really excited about.

The process of creating this website has been fun. In fact I had a photoshoot for some of the pics featured and I’m looking forward to building on this new site with a movie review section plus an all new blog page.

A new site to match the timing of my new job…….Power 98. Yup, as you have probably heard, I’ve already moved on to Power.

I’m gonna tell you about the first 3 weeks I’ve been here. I will be hosting “Your Daily Dose” weekdays 2 to 5pm with Jensen Ho, what a reunion man…..haha! And you know what, he hasn’t changed………he’s still nuts!

As you can see from the shelf of his cubicle which is next to mine……a shrine of condom packets. Aiyo, thou shall not comment.

Of course Jens was away for awhile on holiday so I took over the shift.

Well I think that just about does it for a first post. I’ll definately have loads more and I’ll also tell you how my first event at power went…….it’s called Powerjam and the Singapore Music awards.
